Intec and Z 2019 will make an innovative and powerful start
From February 5 to 8, visitors to the trade fair duo Intec and Z 2019 in Leipzig can look forward to a comprehensive range of around 1,300 exhibitors from the metal working and subcontracting industries. Furthermore, the practice-oriented conference programme of the trade fairs invites an exchange on the top topics of the industry.
At Intec and Z 2019, around 1,300 exhibitors will present innovative products, sophisticated technology, and complex services in Leipzig. "In February, the trade fair combination Intec and Z will become the centre of the metal working and subcontracting industries. Innovative and powerful - this is how the two industrial fairs present themselves," explains Markus Geisenberger, Chief Executive Officer of Leipziger Messe, and adds: "We are therefore very pleased that our trade fair duo will once again affirm its strong position among European capital goods fairs."
Centre of the metal working and subcontracting industries
At Intec visitors can expect a comprehensive range of production technology for metalworking, automation technology for upstream and downstream processes in production, but also technology and equipment for workshops and operations. Technological leaders from the machine tool industry, renowned suppliers of precision tools and specialists for automation solutions from Germany and abroad will present their range of services. These include Yamazaki Mazak, DMG MORI, Maschinenfabrik Berthold Hermle, Paul Horn, Niles-Simmons, EMUGE and ISCAR. Small and medium-sized companies will also be able to use Intec as an effective and attractive platform for initiating business. The major German mechanical engineering centres in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria will have a strong presence at the trade fair. Most of the international exhibitors at the forthcoming fair come from Italy, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland.
As the perfect partner for Intec, the subcontracting fair Z will be held at the same time. In particular, it offers suppliers in the middle production stages a tailor-made platform for their positioning on the market. Alongside regularly exhibiting companies, numerous new companies from Central Germany and other German industrial regions as well as from abroad were attracted to the Z. The international exhibitors come mainly from western and eastern Europe. With innovative ideas and sophisticated products, the suppliers will present an exhibition tailored to the needs of the industry.
Intec 2019: Innovations and optimisations within the manufacturing process
The machine tool sector will be presenting a series of innovations and optimisations at Intec 2019. For example, the 4-axis horizontal machining centre Heckert H55 can be seen at the Starrag stand. Thanks to its modular design, the machinery can be flexibly configured and thus precisely adapted to the customer's requirements. The new Mikron 6x6 modular machine tool system with fully integrable automation will be presented by exhibitor Mikron. It offers more than 100 different combinations, with which it can be optimally configured for specific production situations. MAKINO introduces a new member of the five-axis machining centre family to Intec: the a500Z. The milling machine was specially tailored to the specific requirements of the production of complex workpieces.
Production automation and digitisation are reflected representatively in the Intec exhibitors' offerings. Heidenhain, for example, will be showing Connected Machining, which connects the machines in the workshop with the company network in a digitalised production process. Furthermore, it facilitates the individual, operation-related use of data - tailored to the customer's wishes and requirements. The eRolling brand is used by Profiroll to adapt the impulses from the fourth industrial revolution for modern cold rolling mills for rotationally symmetrical profiles. Ultimately, the intelligent rolling mill on show at Intec anticipates and adjusts the processes to the specific workpiece.
Z 2019: Concentrated presentation of supplier services
Z 2019 will be well attended with exhibitors meeting the demand for parts and components made of metals, plastics and innovative materials. Ambitious services for the industry will enrich the trade fair range. An example of this is the joint rod configurator from mbo Oßwald. The tool creates individual units online and without any loss of time and provides information on functional dimensions, prices and delivery times. At Klöckner, mitre cuts, bevel cuts and drilling are integrated into a single process using pre-processing units. Precise connections and parts are produced according to individual customer requirements and save on time-consuming reworking.
With SUSTAKON, Röchling is presenting a universal material that offers new possibilities for the production of components for plants and machines at the subcontracting fair. According to Röchling, the material is ideal for components that have to withstand permanent dynamic loads and high load changes - such as gears and bearings. CEP Freiberg is developing high-temperature copper materials, offering them as semi-finished products and finished parts and presenting them in Leipzig. The materials combine mechanical-technological and physical material properties. For the first time, suppliers with the industrial cluster from Bydgoszcz, Poland, who have made a name for themselves primarily in the tool industry and plastics processing, will be exhibiting.
Future Topics of the Industry the Focus of the Conference Programme
Thanks to forums, workshops and special shows in the exhibition halls, the trade fair network's conference programme offers a wide range of first-hand information about future industry topics. For example, the special exhibit with the integrated specialist forum "Additive + Hybrid - New Production Technologies in Use", newly designed for 2019, illustrates how the boundaries of conventional processes can be overcome by combining classic production processes with new technologies. The new special exhibit with the specialist forum "Sensor Technology - En Route to an Intelligent Product. Solutions, Potential and Trends." focuses on the application benefits and challenges of this important technology. In addition, the specialist forum "new mobility: New vehicle propulsion systems - challenges and opportunities for manufacturing technology and the supply industry" will be held for the first time during the dual trade fair on February 7.
The conferences and international cooperation forums at the Congress Center Leipzig are important pillars of the conference programme. The international conference "Industry's Hidden Champions - Tracks to Market Leadership" will be held on 5 February. For the sixth time now, the Congress "Resource-efficient Production" will be held as part of the trade fair combination - on February 6, the theme of the conference will be "Smart Production. Scenarios. Solutions. Benefit.". Intec and Z are characterised by bilateral and multilateral country meetings, cooperation forums and the "CONTACT: Business Meetings".
