Ready, steady, play!
musicpark's Concept at a Glance
musicpark will open for the first time at the Leipzig Exhibition Grounds from 1 to 3 November, inviting visitors to stroll through a fascinating variety of musical instruments and accessories. Here is an overview of the event's programme.
The Customer in Focus
musicpark is clearly geared towards end consumers. We cordially invite you all to see, hear and experience musical instruments - and above all to try them out. National and international industry brands will be presenting their products on site.
6 Show Floors with Lots of Music
musicpark is impressive in its diversity - from string instruments and classical wind instruments to electric guitars. Music lovers will find their musical dream in one of the six exhibition areas. The six show floors are Band & Orchestra, Guitars & Amps, Drums & Percussion, Pianos & Keyboards, Stage, Studio & DJ Equipment and Education & Media.
Superior Craftsmanship: Instrument Makers Present Their Masterpieces
Visitors to the "Meisterwerke – Galerie und Handwerk" (Masterpieces - Gallery and Craftsmanship) exhibition area can discover the highest levels of precision combined with craftsmanship. In a separate area, instrument makers will demonstrate craftsmanship and the inherent uniqueness of traditional musical instrument making.
Market: Music for Home
Have you found your new favourite instrument? Still missing the perfect music stand for your new sheet music? Thanks to the adjoining Market, visitors can purchase instruments, equipment or accessories and take a piece of musicpark home with them. With its product range, the Market rounds out the exhibitor mix. But the best thing about it is that qualified professionals are on hand to give advice and share their product knowledge.
The sweatbloodtears Boxes - the Heart of musicpark
Welcome to the club. The soundproof, acoustically designed sound cabins are the centre of the Drums & Percussion, Guitars & Amps and Band & Orchestra areas and invite visitors to immerse themselves not only in the sound but also in a special musical experience. In addition to a perfect sound, the sweatbloodtears boxes feature intimate encounters with artists.
The stages: the right setting for every sound
Various stages invite you to listen and linger. At StageZero, newcomers will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills to an audience interested in jam sessions. Musicians can apply soon. The Acoustic Stage, on the other hand, demands spontaneity. Based on the open mic principle, anyone can perform for an audience and present their instrument. Surprising cross-overs can be heard on the classical stage in addition to classical instruments and ensembles.
StoryStage: A Look Behind the Scenes
On two stages, the so-called StoryStages, stories behind the musicians, the brands and the instruments will be told. In both exhibition halls business insiders and musicians will spill the beans.
The PlayZones: 30 Minutes to Success
Every exhibition area has a testing zone, the so-called PlayZones. Our experienced instructors encourage you to try out an instrument and take your first musical steps very quickly. After a training session participants will play their first short piece, demonstrating music par excellence. The PlayZones are equipped with musical instruments from YAMAHA and Roland Meinl, among others.
Learn from the Best: College and Academy
The musicpark College and Academy also promise to provide expert know-how for all aspects of music making. While the basics of musical instruments and equipment are taught in the College, stars and experts give professional tips on their instruments in the Academy. Everything from playing techniques to business education is part of the programme.
A Musical Experience at Every Turn
The stages are not the only place to experience something. There will also be exciting activities and demonstrations at the exhibitors' stands. For instance, you can bring your own guitar and run new strings, have your flute adjusted by an expert, or watch a master craftsman make an instrument.
Specialist Dealers and Visitors More Than Welcome
It goes without saying that there are plenty of networking opportunities here, where the industry meets. The musicpark Business Lounge welcomes retailers and trade visitors to exchange ideas, obtain a market overview and set the pace for the industry.
A Lot of Space for a Lot of Noise
Two halls - Halls 2 and 4 - on the Leipzig Exhibition Grounds will be opened as part of musicpark and will provide visitors with a chance to walk through the park. Hall 2 will be the meeting place for the world of pop, rock and electronics, while Hall 4 will be devoted to acoustic and mechanical musical instruments from the classical sector, publishers, music education and general training in the trades and music teaching.
Opening Hours, Tickets and Prices
musicpark is taking place from Friday to Sunday, 1 to 3 November, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the Leipzig Exhibition Grounds. A day ticket costs 19 Euros, reduced price 12 Euros, full ticket 38 Euros. Trade visitors can purchase a full ticket for 119 Euros. A "Priority" day ticket is available for 169 Euros - which includes preferential access to the sweatbloodtears boxes and to the College and Academy.
musicpark - the music experience fair on the Leipzig Exhibition Grounds - will open for the first time from 1 to 3 November 2019.
